Great striking up trade talks with Brian. We’re lucky to have a good managerial addition with him. I think Bradley can produce this year on a one year deal and again trying to look for contributors in my outfield. Even if JBJ splits time he can add some value when there’s a righty on the mound. I adore Moronta but his labrum surgery makes it hard to envision his role but he certainly has closer upside. Speaking of closer upside, Hernandez could be a nice sneaky add here for Brian, a guy I’ve really liked and can help in the suddenly pitcher focused Rangers club (in real life). Ornelas still has a bunch of potential and can blossom into a great addition here. Glad to recoup a mid rounder with the difference on the short contract for JBJ and the controllable youth going back. Cheers to Brian and best of luck moving forward.

*Sorry, I think Ben and I posted the trade in different threads at almost exactly the same time. I deleted my post and pasted my initial write-up below.*

I was looking to clear some salary cap space for possible free agent signings and had enough outfield depth that I was able to move JBJ and free up his salary, plus he is on the last year of his contract. In return, I was able to get two mid-level prospects to bolster my farm system (which needs some depth as it appears rather top-heavy) and a potential closer of the future in Moronta on a cheap three year deal (though there was some risk as he is currently recovering from shoulder surgery). I'd like to thank Ben for reaching out to me and getting my first trade in this league done and also for being patient with some of my delays in replies as we worked to iron out the details.
