     Ryan McMahon, UT (COL) - '20-'21: $0.5M

to the Baltimore Padres for:
     Matthew Boyd, P (DET) - '20: $2M, '21: $3M, '22: $4M


HOUSTON LOGIC: I am excited to add a player of Boyd's caliber. His strikeout numbers are very nice and I think he has a good chance to bounce back in 2020. McMahon provides a lot of versatility, but I feel that I have the pieces to replace his value. Great working with Matt on this deal!

[Baltimore Padres (Matt)]

I accept. I really like Boyd, and I think he will get a bump in value when he gets dealt by the Tigers. On the other hand, I had SPs to spare after adding Keuchel and Odorizzi, so I felt like I could deal Boyd to add McMahon. My hope is that McMahon can fill the hole at 2B I have now and that he takes another step forward in 2020. Hopefully this is a win-win deal for both teams, and it was nice working with Brandon on this one.
