Amir Garrett, RP (CIN) - 21-22: $0.5M
Travis Swaggerty, OF (PIT) - Prospect
MINNESOTA LOGIC: This trade accomplishes two things for me, 1.) It strengthens my bullpen, and 2.) It adds a prospect who I am fond of. I really like how Garrett performed in 2020. Plus, he is very easy to root for. I wish he had another year or two on this contract, but it is fine of course. He should be a good source of holds or saves, and strikeouts too. Also, I’m happy to acquire Swaggerty. I know he is not yet a top-tier prospect, but I think he has a chance to be if he adds more power. In return, I am sending away four players. Bader has consistently been one of baseball's faster players, Guillorme had a mini breakout in 2020 with the Mets, and Slaten & Strahm are two solid Texas prospects. Bader’s SB potential was especially tough to part with, but I think this deal helps out both of our needs.
