Reasoning: My minors system is almost non existent, and while I’m more in a win now mode this deal was about improving my minors. I love Corbin Carroll and I think he can be a very solid contributor for my team in the future. Lynch helped push the deal over the line for me. Great working with Jake and hoping this deal works out a lot better for Pittsburgh than the last big MLB trade between Tampa and Pittsburgh.

Pittsburgh confirms. To Rusty's credit we settled on the first deal he offered me, I just had to make it a little tough on him lol. Great working with Rusty and I like the shape my MLB roster is taking after today's moves. I was missing 1B depth and a big bat and this deal checks both of those boxes.
